There are many ways that a person can cope and even heal when they have unwanted stress in their lives, absolutely! The key factor is knowing how to manage and cope with stress and to actually try and get rid of it. A person will never get anywhere in life unless they attempt to make change and that’s how you can deal, as well heal from stress, especially if you suffer with arthritis. Keep It Moving
This is so important if you have arthritis is to always keep it moving with various forms of exercise. Did you know that stress can actually cause arthritis to get worse because of the tightening of the joints and muscles? Most people wouldn’t think that stress could play a part in the severity of arthritis, but it can and will if you let it. You must remember that it’s mind over matter. You cannot let stress take over your life. When you exercise, you keep your mind and body stronger, which will make the severity of arthritis not be such a hard blow to your system.
Training Your System to Deep Breathe
This is another important quality when it comes to taking the severity off from arthritis. When you can train your body to engage in deep breathing, that behavioral pattern will help to relieve stressors from your life. It would be best if you could incorporate that in with about thirty minutes to an hour of Yoga practice, that way your spine and joints can as well, get the stretching and strength needed to help aid off the severity of arthritis. Deep breathing also trains the mind to be obedient along with the natural course of the change that our bodies are going through with arthritis. When we take long, deep breaths, it releases the “feel good” endorphins in our brain to relax and take it easy.
Seeing A Therapist
A lot of people do not like to admit this, but seeing a therapist can a lot of the times help to relieve various forms of stress in a person’s life, especially if you have just been diagnosed with arthritis. Arthritis for many individuals is a hard blow to life because it changes how we must get things done, how we move and so on. When you can see a counselor or therapist about what is on your mind, no they cannot fix you, but they can give you options and ways on how to deal and cope with whatever is bothering you. Sometimes, a therapist can pinpoint things out to you that make you think in such a different way and a lot of the times, that will alter the way a person handles stress and whatever is going on in their current lives.
Being Put on Medications
Now, you’re probably on specific medications which will help to take away most of your arthritis pains, but did you know that there are remarkable medications out there on the current market to help relieve stress, anxiety, as well depression? They are not all dangerous to take either! What a lot of people hate to admit is that they need help in their daily walks of life, but that’s just being human and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. What I would personally do is go talk to your doctor and see if there are some basic anxiety medications to be placed on so this way, you can get your anxiety and stress under control in regards of not making your arthritis symptoms worsen with stress and anxiety. Remember, our muscles and joints only tense up worse when we are stressed out and carry a lot of anxiety with us. Sometimes, being placed on specific medications for stress isn’t always a bad thing because in the long run, it can take away the severity of arthritic pains and irritation.
